Diary Clash – Entry 43

Dear Diary

No word from Karate Kid regarding Sunday still. I wonder if he’ll leave it until the day to organise? He’d better be quick as I’ve now got plans for Sunday.

Mr not-so-average Jo sent me a message today. He asked if I’d like to catch up again (of course!) and suggested either Saturday or Sunday. I have my performance this Saturday so it meant Sunday by default. I felt a little uneasy about committing as I was still waiting to hear back from Karate Kid. Thankfully, a girlfriend who was with me at the time reminded me about her apples story. I’d like to share it with you as it’s really sweet…like an apple…

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples form the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

I wish I’d heard that tale when I was younger. Anyway, Karate Kid is taking too long and has been complicated to navigate with, whereas, Mr not-so-average Jo is organised! I decided I’d wait until Karate Kid contacted me about Sunday before telling him the evening was now blocked out on my calendar. Like I mentioned last time, he may not pull through anyway as I made it way to easy for him.

I’m so excited that Mr not-so-average Jo contacted me!!! We will be playing putt putt golf this Sunday evening 😀 over the moon!
